Brace yourselves for a story that will both shock you and grab you silly... all at the same time! I have to admit that this is my 'first' true independent comic book. Sure, many of you will say that Dark Horse Comics or Chaos Comics are Independents. And you know what? You'd be right. But, I'm talking Old School 80s independents here. Where the artists and writers slave for months to get one book out. And the book is nothing but a photocopied, black and white treasure. Ya, about 75% suck big time, yet every now and then you come upon a little gem in the rough. The Whole Enchilada is one of those uncut gems.
Originally slated to be a 5 issue mini series, The Whole Enchilada will now be an ongoing series. I won't say monthly, just ongoing. The Whole Enchilada, or TWE as referred to by the faithful readers, delves deep into the world of 'Sell Outs' and lifes ulitmate question - "What is the meaining of life?" This is one review where I cannot give you the 'meat' of the story, because by doing so I would destroy the first five (5) issues. If you're brave enough to read East Coast humor in an independent comic book that details some of our societies sell outs, then by all means, make your way over the the TWE website and order yourself the first five (5) issues. The comics are free. You just pay for Shipping & Handling. Where else in the comic world can you get a deal like that?
